Judge Finds Spin Doctor Guilty of Malpractice

A judge has ruled that Dr. Cliff Marton, a spin doctor for two-term Nebraska state senator John Mirkin, is guilty of having spun issues with the intent to harm during the campaign last November.

Marton, who is not a real doctor but has considered playing one on TV, was ordered not to appear on any news programs or orchestrate any photo opportunities for the next three elections.

Following a debate during the end of a tight campaign against opponent Fred Gergen, dozens of people were rushed to an Omaha hospital with symptoms ranging from dizziness to extreme nausea to political indifference -- all the result of exposure to excessive spin.

"For a moment that guy had me believing that the sky wasn't blue. He has the most wicked spin I have ever seen," said Philip Rabble, 65, who suffered severe whiplash after listening to three Sunday morning talk shows in which Marton appeared last November.

In his defense Marton said, "the economy is set to improve, the senator is doing a great job, the opposition is twisting the record, those five nights in Monte Carlo was a legitimate use of taxpayer money…"
