Russians Refuse to Grant Space Tourist Frequent-Flier Miles

Despite paying an estimated $20 million to visit the international space station, Mark Shuttleworth, the millionaire South African space tourist, will not receive frequent-flier miles from the Russian space agency.

Shuttleworth is reportedly not pleased, according to a copy of the passenger survey form obtained by postdocme.net. The form also reveals the following breaches in customer service:

- Shuttleworth was forced to watch the same in-flight movie on both is trip to and from the space station.

- he could not get his carry-on bag to fit in the overhead compartment.

- he repeatedly had to ask the cosmonaut in front of him not to recline his seat so far back.

- he could not listen to the same old Abbott and Costello sketches several hundred times because his headset was not operating.

- he was given the chicken menu when he specifically requested the beef menu.

- he was told that a baggage handler had mistakenly sent one of his suitcases to the Mir space station instead.

And to top it all off, the Russian space agency did not leave any mint candies for its guest and sternly told him not to run off with any of the guest towels from the space station.
