Andersen To Start Recycled Paper Products Company From Shredded Document Stockpile

Capitalizing on its overwhelming reserves of shredded documents, Arthur Andersen LLP, the erstwhile accounting and consulting powerhouse, has decided to shift its core business to recycled paper products.

Having lost its status among the elite Big Five accountancy groups, Andersen believes it has already found a niche as the Big One in terms of possession of paper ready for reuse.

"With our accounting firm about to shut down, we might as well take advantage of what we have. Besides writing down numbers is so old economy," disclosed one Andersen insider. "We’re talking about bringing grocery store bags, envelopes, not to mention paper kites, to a whole new level."

One unnamed source says Andersen, the world leader in document shredding, is in discussions for future partnerships with prospective rivals such as Tyco, ImClone and Argentina
