 Microbore Releases .NYET
Microbore (Omaha Stock Exchange: BORE), the worldâs leading distributor of sleep-inducing computer product announcements, has revealed that it also hopes to expand its foothold in the field of tedious and frustrating technology with the release of its new line of .NYET products.
".NYET is the sort of thing people have come to expect form Microbore. It was built to annoy the user at every turn," said Gill Bates, president and chief spokesmodel for Microbore, during a press conference held outside the Pocatello, Idaho Fair Grounds at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.
"Now a user can pay excessive amounts of money for the product, only to have his/her computer crash and then fail to get through to a customer service representative all in a one-stop service," Bates added.
Conceived by a team of sadistic programmers from countries of the former Eastern bloc, .NYET was originally designed for use by underemployed technology journalists looking for space to fill in their respective newspapers.
Later senior executives at Microbore decided that if they started hyping .NYET enough then they, and perhaps the consuming public at large, might actually believe there was something to the product.
When asked whether there was any purpose to the new product other than to pester consumers, Bates responded:
"We havenât really thought of one yet. Are you sure we need one? Maybe we can include something in our .NYET 2003 version that we are planning to put out in the summer of 2006."
