Scientist Loses Genome Map; Refuses to Ask For Directions

Bothell, Washington (postdocme.net) - A scientist working on the breakthrough discovery of tracing the human genome has lost his map and cannot find his way. The latest reports say that he is still out and about town after refusing to ask for directions.

Dr. Bernard Fitzwater, 56, one of the chief scientists working on the genome project, was driving along Interstate 5 Wednesday morning when he pulled over to a nearby rest area. After attending to immediate concerns and then helping himself to a free cup of coffee, Fitzwater reached into his glove compartment only to find his map of the genome was not there.

Rather than seek assistance, Fitzwater stubbornly believed he could trace the genome without a map. He continues to attempt to find his way at this hour.

A local man says he thinks he saw Fitzwater discreetly trying to check the back of a 7-Eleven store to see if they had any maps for sale on Wednesday evening.
