Critics Pan Gulf Wars II: Dubya's Revenge

Roger Ebert

The performances thus far among the Iraqi actors have been a tremendous disappointment.

The scenes of uprisings have been anything but convincing. Even worse are the scenes of Iraqis surrendering. I think the producers would have been much better off hiring a French cast.

With a budget of over $70 billion, one expects acting of a much higher standard than we have seen thus far.

Leonard Maltin

The special effects used in this production are undoubtedly more spectacular than the original, especially in the Baghdad scenes. Nevertheless, where is the character development, people?

Who among us can forget the splendid rapport that developed between Peter Arnett and John Holliman in the first episode. Plus there were those wonderfully emotional and gripping moments when Bernard Shaw decided to hide under a bed.

Nic Robertson? Walter Rogers? Get real.

Gene Shalit

Too long! We were produced a 90 minute show, and it looks like this thing is going to drag into 90 days.

Boring!

Hard to believe that these are the same people who brought us Kosovo, Panama and Grenada.
