A Message From Jack Belch, Former Head Of Chortler
Dear Shareholders,
Iâm Jack Belch, former chairman and CEO of Chortler Electric, Chortler Television and the fine family of Chortler products you have no other choice but to buy.
Some rather unflattering words have been written about me in the press recently that might lead people to think I am the personification of the greed which is plaguing corporate America these days.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
You may remember these same deceptive and slanderous stories started appearing last year when I received $7 million for writing a book entitled "How To Get Filthy Rich By Writing A Book."
Why, my accusers ask, does a man worth over $400 million need to have his former company fork out money for soda pop, laundry quarters and tickets to ball games?
These questions are nothing more than a blatant attempt to bring down the ideals for which this country stands. Ideals that any man with ambition, dedication and a few Harvard cronies can hope to reach.
I am immensely proud of what we accomplished at Chortler during my tenure with the company. Under my leadership, the company showed how good olâ American ingenuity can be applied to standardized accounting methods and federal rules overseeing corporate governance.
If I may say so, mine was a career marked by rapid growth, especially in the disparity between the salaries of company executives and average workers.
In closing, I would like to add that I played no small part in bringing our Internet site, postdocme.net, the future of this great company, to where it is today â the 264,349th most popular site on the World Wide Web.
Thank you for your time and thank for buying shares in this wonderful company long after Iâve sold mine.
Jack Belch
