Tiger Woods Still a Prominent Online Pitchman

As has been widely chronicled, Tiger Woods is persona non grata in the world of televised advertisements. In fact, according to reports, Woods has not appeared in a television commercial since the end of November — at least in North America as we have heard that a Gillette Fusion ad with Woods, Roger Federer and Thierry Henry continues to be shown in parts of Central Europe (though this is unconfirmed).

But a quick glance online shows that Tiger’s role as a pitchman for certain products has hardly diminished. He can be seen swinging around on the Nike website, promoting “hydration for concentration” on Gatorade’s site, pitching the Tag Heuer Golf Watch, and announcing “Lo mejor para el hombre” and “ferfiasan tokelete” on the Spanish and Hungarian Gillette sites, respectively.

And of course, if one is growing nostalgic for actual video spots of Tiger selling products, YouTube does not disappoint. Both Nike and Gillette are continuing to feature commercials starring Woods.
