The Attack of the Pitch Invader Like No Other
Some people begin their workday by well … working: cleaning offices, painting houses, arranging important meetings.
We begin ours by reporting on a Brazilian soccer match last weekend between Sao Paulo and Santos which had to be delayed slightly to clear the pitch of a invader unlike any the sporting world has ever seen before – a story we originally found posted on the Hungarian sports site SportGeza.Video of the bizarre spectacle can be viewed here.
The pitch invader, dressed in Santos team colors, stormed onto the pitch after Sao Paulo allowed an own goal in the 60th minute of the match.
This is a long way from Morganna, the Kissing Bandit, and probably won’t do a lot to rebuild the manly image of the sport in Brazil.
Santos wound up holding their lead to win the game.
