Skype, the Greatest Thing for a One-Man Business
This may seem like an advertisement for Skype. But why not? The company has saved me a bundle in telephone expenses over the past two years.
Skype serves my telecommunications company, and I have recommended them to countless people and will continue to do so. And I will suggest to you too, dear reader, to buy a calling plan with Skype, as it is unlikely that one can find a better deal – particularly if one owns a small business or makes a lot of calls around the world.
I have an unlimited calling plan with Skype that allows me to contact people in three dozen countries without any charges beyond the nine euros a month I pay for the plan. I also have two phone numbers through Skype – which are a huge help when I am not in the country. That is, someone can call my American number from within the US, and that call gets forwarded to me at no charge to wherever in the world I might be.However, there is something that is quite irritating about Skype: for a communications company they are uncommunicative, i.e., their customer service could be substantially improved.
