(Pensamientos muy personales) George W. Bush: Creo que necesito ir al bańo…

Como ustedes recordarán, la agencia Reuters
capturo una foto del Presidente Bush en las
Naciones Unidas escribiendo en un papel
preguntando si podía ir al lavabo ,
pero por desgracia, Reuters no supo
captar la otra parte del mensaje que
estaba escrito en la parte inversa
de dicha nota. Hoy tenemos el placer
de presentarles en primicia la nota completa:

Creo que necesito ir al bańo…

Más bien, creo que seria necesario obtener unas
largas vacaciones, yo creo que más o menos con
tres ańos me bastaría, una vez mi segundo mandato
presidencial expire.

Me gustaría tener la ocasión de irme a un lugar
lejano, donde no oyera hablar del huracán en Irak,
los terroristas de Nueva Orleans, la bajada de los
precios de gasolina y de la incesante mejora de la
economía americana y ni siquiera tener noticias de
mi imparable incremento de popularidad ˇ!!!!!!!

Por cierto, puedo o no puedo ir al bańo?

From The Big Apple To The Big Easy: The Concert For New Orleans, a concert which took place
September 20th, 2005 in the wake of the Katrina disaster is set to be released on a 2-DVD set on August 22nd. Buckwheat Zydeco, Jimmy Buffet, Ry Cokder, John Fogerty, Elton John, Lenny Kravitz, Elvis Costello, The Neville Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel and others all got together for this benefit concert.

Beneficiaries for both the live concert and the DVD sales include the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund; Habitat for Humanity; MusiCares and the Children’s Health Fund.

· The Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund serves as an umbrella organization for the three special funds established by Governors of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi and has been focused on assisting in the long-term recovery plan for the states

· Habitat for Humanity has embarked on the most ambitious U.S. house building initiative in its history. Proceeds from the Concert for the Gulf Coast are rebuilding houses in these devastated communities.

· The MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund benefits victims in the music industry affected by the crisis. Assistance includes basic living expenses such as shelter, food, utilities, transportation; medical expenses; clothing; instrument and recording equipment replacement; relocation costs; school supplies for students; insurance payments.

· The Children’s Health Fund is continuing to expand its fleet of mobile medical vans, which are providing medical care for affected children
