Artie Lange to Release Jack and Coke

As news of Artie Lange’s personal life makes the headlines, we have received word that the irreverent entertainer is set to release uncensored material from his stand-up act before a New York City crowd in the form of Jack and Coke (in DVD and Bluray) on January 19.

The man who Howard Stern labeled the “sweetest motherf***er around” is his loveable crude and offensive self as witnessed here, here and here.

Here are the notes from the release:

Artie Lange was introduced to The Howard Stern Show in 1998 when he accompanied his friend Norm MacDonald into the studio. He made such an impression during his first appearance on the program that he was asked to become a full-time member of the cast after Jackie Martling left the show in 2001.

Prior to the Stern Show, Lange was a member of the original cast of the sketch comedy series MADtv. After MADtv, Lange continued his television work on Norm MacDonald’s sitcom, Norm. In addition to television, Artie’s filmography includes Dirty Work, Lost and Found, The Bachelor, Old School, Elf, and Beer League.

In 2008, Lange co-wrote an autobiographical book with Anthony Bozza titled “Too Fat to Fish,” which appeared at number one on the New York Times best seller list under hardcover non-fiction.

Beer League, Opens September 15th

Artie Lange’s Beer League is a comedy about Artie (Artie Lange), an unemployed underachiever who still lives with his mother and plays in a small town softball league in New Jersey with his rag-tag group of misfit friends. When Artie’s team faces off their nemeses, headed by Dennis Manganelli (Anthony De Sando) of Manganelli Fitness, the game descends into an ethnic name-calling challenge and a battle of macho-posing as the two former high school rivals face off on the field. While Artie is a loser, Manganelli, the owner of a successful gym whose team wins the league trophy every year, struts his “stuff” like a banty rooster, proudly displaying winning trophies in the windows of his gym. Manganelli, also running for Mayor and favored to win, uses his overblown position and political ambitions to continuously torture Artie and his cohorts both on and off the field.

The two rivals do more fighting on the baseball field than playing softball and when his team is threatened with permanent expulsion from the local league after being jailed for yet another fight on the field, Artie and his team must rally and move from last place to first – in one brief season, while Artie tries to hold on to the only woman who loves him for who he is.
