Alan Greenspan and Hank Paulson, as two of the people most responsible for bringing the world’s financial system to the brink of the disaster and creating a bailout that mostly benefited the already rich and powerful on Wall Street and that will burden future generations with untold debt and all the while an enormous percentage of the population struggles to hold on to jobs (if they have not been lost already) and homes (ditto), it would be remiss of me not to ask you whether the Colts or the Saints are going to win this year’s Super Bowl.

And the American people have such a low regard for the mainstream media because … ?

Once upon a continuum of experience not demarcated by those who chronicled the event I am endeavoring to relay,
there was a venerable personage of the feminine
gender who, as improbable as it may appear,
found habitation in a covering for the human foot.

The aforesaid elderly human female was the progenitor
of such an innumerable amount of offspring that she
was perplexed to the point of abeyance when required to take
definitive action.

She provided sustenance to her progeny in the form of
liquid in which meat and vegetables are simmered, yet
bereft of baked goods derived from flour.

Thenceforth, she thrashed them to the stage of vanquishing
ahead of directing them to seek a quiescent state through slumber.

My preliminary expectations heading into the first quarter of this
contemporaneous masterpiece from the Schneiderian/Sandleresque
oeuvre were amply satiated vis-a-vis earlier prognositications.

These maestros of merriment then proceeded to ingurgitate the reviewer of this column with japing jocularity throughout the second quarter of this ribald frivolity as well.

Whereupon Q3, if looked upon in the context of the previous Bigelow
manifestation produced by these cosmic comic collaborators, exuberated
irrational whimsicality.

Moving into Q4 the predominant jocoseness of preceding quarters
prevailed to smoothly round out any trepidations as to the
precarious divertissement of this celebration of cinematicality.
