Price of Cocoa, A Fuel for the This Website, Doubles at Tesco
Until just a few months ago, the price of chocolate and cocoa goodies at our nearby Tesco in Hungary were noticeably more affordable than competing supermarkets in the area.
All that changed in the past couple of weeks as the price of Tesco’s 100 gram cocoa went from 115 forints to 205 forints in the space of a year.
We know a fellow named Anthony Ward attempted to corner the cocoa market over the summer. and that prices are at a 30-year high. But would that explain a near 100 percent rise at Tesco in such a short span of time?
