LOST Finale: Lost in Space?

After six years of pondering the mysteries of the Island and the nature of the Smoke Monster, LOST fans are finally on the verge of finding out exactly what it all means. Or are they?

Maybe not, if what co-creator Damon Lindelof has to say is true. “We’re trying to end ‘Lost’ in a way that feels ‘Lost’-ian and fair and will generate a tremendous amount of theorizing,” series co-creator Damon Lindelof said. Say whaaaaaat? Put into perspective, it is reasonable to suggest that no series has answered absolutely every question individual episodes have presented. For instance, in MASH, where did Hawkeye get all those martini glasses? Seems like they would’ve been drinking out of beakers or something more practical, but I digress. And in “Lost in Space”, why wasn’t Dr. Smith jettisoned into the vacuum of space, say, mid-season back when it was still in black-and-white? Was he part of an even bigger conspiracy? And what the hell happened to that space monkey?
