If there were ever proof beyond this site that anybody can become a journalist, then massage the television dial over to NBC and behold the children of famous people interviewing former President Bill Clinton this week.

First there was Jenna Bush Hager asking Clinton about Haiti and what it’s like to be a father of a bride, and then there was Luke Russert the next day asking him about … well, I don’t know … I didn’t watch.

It’s not that Jenna Bush and Luke Russert are bad journalists. In fact, one would definitely place them a few notches above Larry King. The problem is that the whole world knows that neither of them would be interviewing a former president if their names did not end in Bush or Russert.

And would Chelsea have received a position at McKinsey were her last name not the same as Bill’s?
