Today in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, November 21, 2008
We were shocked. Shocked, we say, when we awoke at noon today and found this hit piece in
The New York Times staring us back in our drowsy faces:
"When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt negotiated with People and
other celebrity magazines this summer for photos of their newborn
twins and an interview, the stars were seeking more than the estimated $14 million they received from the deal. They also wanted a hefty slice of journalistic input — a promise that the winning magazine’s coverage would be positive, not merely in that instance but into the future."
Meanwhile, if this were not enough, we discover that a certain
word is verboten around the couple.
"The magazine (People) also had to provide an 'editorial plan' as well as never using the 'Brangelina' moniker to describe them. Brad and Angelina apparently hate that," writes
Infos Jeunes.
And lastly, E! Online asks the most important question of our age: Why Won't BrangelAniston Just Go Away?
"Jennifer Aniston, that poor, dumped cheerleader, was the top-selling cover face of the first half of 2007, according to Forbes. And since then she has continued to make the media plenty of cash every time she opens her reedy little nonexistent lips," it opines.
