POLL How often do you confuse Mariah Carey with Mary Carey?
Mariah Carey's lawyers are great letter writers. They sent a missive to this
publication last year, back in the days when we were writing satire,
after we had used a story of a nipple slip that supposedly occurred on German television.
We didn't really see the point of asking a satire site to withdraw a story
that was made up about an event that never happened. But the story did have
Mariah Carey's name in it, so they were all over it. And it was in August, so
apparently they didn't have anything better to do than write a satire site a letter.
Now Carey's team of lawyers are after porn actress Mary Carey, the star of some of our favorites such as "Double Air Bags 11" and "Boobsville Sorority Girls." Mariah's lawyers want Mary to stop using the name in her non-porn life. They are afraid people would confuse the two names.
Hence we ask our loyal reader(s): How often do you confuse Mariah Carey with Mary Carey?
