12 and Holding
The producers of 12 and Holding sifted through well over 600
scripts before they read that of Anthony S. Cipriano's said
to themselves: "This is the one."
The film delves into the lives of three 12-year-olds - Jacob
(Conor Donovan), Malee (Zoe Weizenbaum) and vulnerable Leonard
(Jesse Camacho) - dwelling in present-day American suburbia.
The film explores not only their road to discovery or loss of
innocence, but the struggles their parents face in attempting to guide them.
Faced with the traffic loss of Jacob's twin brother, the trio form a
closely knit bond which takes them through poignant feelings of revenge and grief.
The film also examines those events which shape us throughout our lives,
those that are indelibly lodged in our minds.
The DVD features commentary by the director, a deleted scene and an alternate ending.
