DVD PICK
Blackwater Valley Exorcism
Blackwater Valley Exorcism is a DVD release out today (October 17rh)
that merits much more attention than it has just far received.
Based on an actual event, the old, early 20th-century farmhouse in Washoe County,
Nevada where this movie was shot adds an extra element of authentic eeriness. In
fact, several cast and crew members were hesitant to have the ritual performed in the
home, according to director Ethan Wiley.
The tale focuses on emotionally disturbed Isabelle who is locked in a fierce battle with
a vicious demon that's hell-bent on owning her soul. Desperate to bring her back from
the tangle of evil, her family calls on Jacob, the troubled local priest, to perform
an exorcism. In a race against time and terror, he must wrestle his own dark demons
before he can save Isabelle. But, as the story unfolds, we find that she isn't the
only one who needs saving...
And a word of warning: no matter what you might have experienced in life or how brave
you consider yourself, don't watch this film alone.
