Grease Rockin' Rydell Edition
We've been meanin' to write Grease Rockin' Rydell Edition
up for some time, but our fingers kept
slipping off the keyboard.
Tell me more. Tell me more, you say. Well, this homage to early rock
'n' roll features a veritable plethora of talent: Travolta, Olivia Newton John,
Stockard Channing, Frankie Avalon, Sid Casear, Sha-Na-Na and a ton of others.
New York Times critic Vincent Canby wrote of the film in 1978: "a contemporary fantasy about a 1950's teen-age musical-a larger, funnier, wittier and more imaginative-than-Hollywood movie with a life that is all its own."
Twenty-eight years later that still holds true. There is not a corner of the globe where the music
from Grease is not sung.
But this DVD makes a great buy because it includes a multitude of extras people never dreamed about during those prehistoric movies days.
