David Bowie With Ricky Gervais On 'Extras'

David Bowie still rocks. Last week he spread mirth and merriment during an appearance on Ricky Gervais's BBC2 program "Extras". He also helped raised a big question: Will this show come America in the same big way Gervais's previous hit "The Office" did?

Gervais plays Andy Millman, a hapless actor or "the stand-in who stands out", on the series which he writes and directs with Stephen Merchant (who also collaborated with Gervais on "The Office".)

Each week a new star appears on the show. Besides Bowie, Ben Stiller has appeared. Meanwhile Chris Martin, Orlando Bloom, Sir Ian McKellen, Germaine Greer, Diana Rigg, Richard Briers, Ronnie Corbett, Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry are slated to appear as well.

Brad Pitt, Mariah Carey and Madonna are all rumored to be interested as well, according to the show's Wikipedia entry.
