MUSIC The Zinedine Zidane Headbutt Song Tops The French Charts
Oh those wild and crazy Jerry Lewis-loving French. We thought the concept
of actually doing something in the month of August was against the
law on continental Europe. But, apparently, we have been proved wrong.
France's latest contribution to the world of art
is this catchy tune (above) devoted to the infamous
headbutt by French captain Zindeine Zidane against Italian
Marco Materazzi during the waning moments of the World Cup
final in Germany last month. So popular is the song, entitled
Coup de Boule (or Headbutt), that it has stormed to
the top of the musical charts not only France but elsewhere in Europe.
Perhaps now that Mel Gibson's cinematic career
looks like they're nearing a certain end, he might consider
going into music as well.
