COLBERT Stephen Colbert Challenges Joe Lieberman To Appear
Chocolate. A free movie. A CD. Two tickets to Florida. What more can a guy do to get someone to take time off their busy schedule to appear on his show? Of course, one busy man, businessman Ned Lamont, the man who is challenging Joe Lieberman in the Democratic primary in Connecticut, still took the time to appear on The Colbert Report.
Lieberman, however, is a different story, despite Colbert's wholehearted support of his candidacy. We here
at this sorry excuse of an online journal support Lieberman as well. Losing a man like Lieberman, a Democrat
who backs everything the adminstration does, would just be bad for our so-called business. Likewise,
we dread the day George W. Bush will leave office in 2008. Barring a victory by Jenna Bush, the online satirical market will face a very bearish downturn at that stage. And all we will have to keep us going is the distant memory of that beautiful Bush-Lieberman kiss.
