CHORTLER CHAT ROOM High School Student Travels To Iraq Alone
Farris Hassan, a 16-year-old from Fort
Lauderdale, Florida, skipped school in
mid-December and decided to do a spring
break in reverse by heading to the
least popular holiday destination in
the world -- Iraq. By himself. Without
telling his friends, family or teachers.
We asked our panel for their thoughts
on one teenager's bizarre odyssey.
Imagine a kid who thinks he can just go
into Iraq like that without consulting
anybody and without doing any planning ... Hmm ...
Perhaps we can find
a position for him here at the Pentagon.
You think going to Iraq by yourself is
unwise? You should try listening to my
husband Kevin Federline's upcoming rap album by yourself.
Kids these days. You've got to watch them like a hawk.
Which reminds me. I better give George
a call and see that he doesn't get
himself into any more trouble today.
