CHORTLER CHAT ROOM Ted Koppel Bids Adieu
ABC's Ted Koppel ended his distinguished
career in journalism yesterday on
Nightline after 25 years at the helm of
the evening news program. We asked our
panel for their thoughts on Mr. Koppel's
contribution to modern-day broadcasting.
He's an outstanding journalist. Nevertheless,
how could he expect anyone to ever
take him seriously with hair like that?
I would have loved to watch his last program. If only
someone had shown me how to open the
door to the White House TV room.
Not only was he dishonest and reprehensible
but he was corrupt and shameful as well.
Other than that he was one heck of a human
being and it has been
my pleasure to have known him.
