CHORTLER CHAT ROOM Rumor: Dick Cheney To Resign
Talk of Dick Cheney's impending resignation is
abounding inside the Beltway today after a report
in Tuesday's Washington Post revealed that the vice
president might be a central target in the CIA agent
leak investigation. Well, at least that's what the
US
News & World Report Web site says. We asked our panel for their thoughts
on Mr. Cheney's possible departure from the corridors
of political power.
If Karl Rove is indicted and Dick Cheney resigns,
then who will be left to define for me where I
stand on the issues?
It's always sad to see a happy and jolly person
like myself leave public life. I will miss his
joviality and his great sense of fun.
Dick can't just go ahead and resign. After all,
who will run the country if he steps down? But
if he does go, I wonder if he'll let me have
the 60-inch plasma TV he keeps in his bunker.
