CHORTLER CHAT ROOM Is Harriet Miers Qualified For The Supreme Court?
A massive debate has been swirling this past
week in the United States around the appointment
of Harriet Miers to fill the vacant Supreme Court
seat left open by recently retired Justice Sandra
Day O'Connor. Many feel that Miers' qualifications
to sit on the highest judicial body in the land are
not sufficient. We asked our panel for their thoughts
on the issue.
If we keep giving positions to people
like this then someone with no political
experience might become governor of
the most populous state in the country.
And somebody with just a bare minimum
of talent could become a pop star.
And any rich airhead with absolutely
no skills could be appearing everywhere
at once for no apparent reason.
And any moron might become president of the United States.
