RETROSPECTIVE Great MTV Moments in History
MTV's coverage of Live 8 this weekend was only the latest
in a series of amazing productions they have
broadcast over the years. Let's revisit some of them:
MTV VJ: We are here at this historic moment at the
historic Globe Theater where Shakespeare's historic release
of his historic play Hamlet is set to begin. Beside me is a member of the audience.

MTV VJ 2: We're here in America and things are just wild. Everyone is having a wild time. The atmosphere is wild.
We are told President Abe Lincoln is about to step up to the podium
any time now. And when he does we will be here live to cover it.

MTV VJ 2: What an amazing speech! What an inspiring speaker! This is incredible! I have never seen anything like this! This is something everyone here will remember for the rest of their lives!

MTV VJ 3: We're now in Austria where scientist
Albert Einstein is about to finish a formula that will
revolutionize modern-day science as we know it.
It's pandemonium here in the laboratory as thousands
and thousands and thousands of people crowd around
waiting for the most brilliant genius guy ever to enter the room.
Here he is. The excitement is unbelievable.
