'Survivor: Palau' Winner Tom Westman Enters The Translation Booth
It was firefighting New Yorker Tom Westman's turn to step into our very own patented translation booth following his victory in Survivor: Palau.
Tom Westman: Somebody told me recently they stopped coloring their hair after I did so well on the challenges.
Translation: That someone was not Dick Clark.
Tom Westman: You've got to go in there and be yourself. It's a winning strategy.
Translation: If your name is not John Kerry.
Tom Westman: When I saw how young the cast was, I thought this is gonna be perfect.
Translation: And then five seconds later I couldn't remember what I had just been thinking.
Tom Westman: The younger ones are not going to know I'm a physical threat until it's too late for them.
Translation: Wait until I make a comeback at Survivor: Miami Beach.
Tom Westman: Originally, (my strategy was) to try to fly below the radar.
Translation: It's always seemed to work for George W. Bush.
