2004 Voters' Guide: Initiative Measure 98435

Three-percent increase in sales tax to fund inordinately large salaries and junkets for elected representatives.

Statement for:

This measure is long overdue and would add state law requirements insuring blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, as if anyone ever bothered to read state initiatives, and even if you did, aren't you in a hurry to get home or pick kids up from soccer practice? Didn't you leave something burning on the stove? Don't you have better things to do? What kind of a pathetic loser would read this far down on an initiative anyway? Get a life!!! So for crying out loud just fill in the god-damn box next to the 'Yes' like the good little citizen that you are and go home for f**k's sake.

Statement Against:

The law-abiding citizens of this state deserve to know where and how their money is being spent by their elected representatives. That is why we the Citizens For Action With Lots Of Free Time On Our Hands are opposed to this blatant, money-grabbing … (Knock Knock) ... Umm … That's strange … Who could be stopping by at this hour?
