POLITICS 'Damn! Why Did Al Gore Have To Pick Me?' Wonders A Dejected Howard Dean 
A somber mood fell upon the Howard Dean campaign today when it was revealed that former Vice President and Democratic Party nominee Al Gore was giving his full 100 percent backing to the Vermont candidate.
Dean has reportedly descended into a deep depression since Gore made the announcement, and has locked himself in the bathroom of his house for the past 16 hours. âWhy me?â the perplexed Dean asked himself. âThere're lots of other candidates he could have picked. Why not Lieberman or Kucinich, or even Sharpton?â âHoward hasn't eaten anything for the past day. We are optimistic that he will get over it at some point. Hopefully Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale and Jimmy Carter will decide to back someone else,â said Dean's campaign manager Joe Trippi. |
